Windsurfers

Last weekend we went into HoodRiver to watch the windsurfers. It was really fascinating and the kids really like watching them fly around the lake. Not something I want to try, but fun to watch.

The kids are really playing together lately and it's great. But Cal is still rough and Emme is not taking any c**p anymore!!

She will bob and weave her way around him and hide things from him behind her back.

She is also silent and very sneaky. While I was cleaning up pee she gets into a basket and I don't even hear her.

Weekend Adventures

Calvin wakes up almost everyday and asks "what you want to do today mama". He loves being home but he also likes to have one thing to do outside of the house each day.

So this weekend we just got out, and enjoyed our little town. Saturday we went for a walk down town and went in and out if the little shops. Then we had lunch at a little Mexican place.

Then we can home and did some baseball in the yard.

After the kids napped we got stuff for a picnic and a few kits and headed down by the river. This place is the "windsurfing Capitol of the world" so to say it is windy is an understatement.

Calvin couldn't stop talking about his day.

He was very happy and we just had a blast being together.

Sunday I got some time to plan and do work at Starbucks while the kids played with daddy and then we just hung out. But it was a really good weekend. We miss our families no question but we can settle in to small town living pretty well 😊

Emme Milestones

January 18th, 2014: says mama and dada

February 15th: first tooth!!

Feb 16: pull to a stand

Feb 18: sit from laying on belly

Feb 22: found her sitting in her bed

Feb 23: crawling!!!

March 11: 2nd tooth

March 17: walking with walker

March 17: climbed all the stairs!

March 20: walked around furniture

March 25: stood in bed

March 25: waved

April 1: claps!

April 16: stands alone for a few seconds

April 24: says dog

May 2: 3rd tooth

May 6: shakes head "no" and "yes"

May 10: says go

May 10: points to animals and says "dog"

May 15: calls mango "go"

May 17: says girl

May 22: 4th tooth!!!

Aunt Sizzie

Aunt Lizzie came to stay for almost a week and we couldn't have been happier.

I got pretty teary eyed when I got her from the airport, I didn't realize how much I missed my little sister.

The kids were beyond excited to see her too, it had been 4 months. Cal didn't leave her side and you would have thought Emme saw her everyday.

We went to beach and played the first full day she was here.

The second day we hung around town and showed her one of Cals favorite museums and then got ice cream.

Saturday Lizzie and I went into Portland and shopped, went to dinner and got VooDoo donuts. On the way we stooped at the Multnomah Falls waterfall. It was gorgeous!
