Up From the Minors: First few days in the Arizona sun

Well we made it! After a few months of knowing, weeks of planning and packing, 2 days of driving and a 3 hour flight we made it to Arizona.

It has been an adjustment for all of us.

Kevin started working right away so there wasn't much of a change for him.

Mango is sad and missing her yard in KC and her friend Asia next door who comes over and plays. We have been going for walks though and she likes to run up and down the stairs so hopefully she will get use to her temporary home.

Calvin has an internal clock that has been hard to adjust to the two hour time difference, but we are working on it. We have been trying to keep him up later each night and the past two nights we have gotten him down at 7pm AZ time so hopefully we can keep that up.

I have had some yucky sinus pressure stuff and headaches, but with a little help from OTC drugs and going to bed early I have been able to get in under control.

Thursday was our first full day and we spent the day getting a few more things for the house and hanging out with Grandpa Sears before he left.

Friday Kevin went to work and Cal and I had our first full day together. HE got up at 5:30am, and by 10am we had eaten breakfast, went for a walk, took a 30 min nap, and went swimming.

Need less to say if he is going to be an early bird, we will need to have some activities to keep us busy. we like getting outside but it has already hit 113 so we we need to do outdoor things in the morning and some other activities indoors in the afternoon.

All and all we are already having a great time. It is so nice to have nothing to do and just focus on us as a family. At the end of the day Kevin and I cant stop talking about how great Cal is and all the adorable things he does.
